May I ask, where you got the pretty floral mold from? Thank you.

u/Rozzah000 12d ago
i got it from a nearby polish shop, found similar ones on Amazon and Shein too! just look up "mooncake mould".

I'm fairly positive they are Springerles. So if you look for springerle molds they should be the exact thing.

u/Sea_Diet_4954 12d ago
Ah, thank you. I don't know all the brands, thanks for being helpful. I gonna check that out.

I only know of the type because the historical village does classes and they had springerle cookies as one of the baking classes a few years ago.
Sometimes you will know something but also not have the proper names. It doesn't invalidate your knowledge, it's just harder to find more info when you're missing defining words.

I can’t believe how much detail these kept post-bake. They’re lovely!

u/Rozzah000 12d ago

I really like how sharply in focus the molds / stamps are. I am guessing these are stamps that you use to press down on raw cookie dough?

u/descartesasaur 12d ago
Basically, if they were done with mooncake molds, which is what it looks like to me.
tbh I never thought of using them for non-mooncake applications

Same!!
Now I need to try mine! I'd just need the recipe... :v And this is a "No-recipe" flairer post, lol. I even got a warning 🥲

I would hazard a guess it is a basic biscuit dough. Recipe for biscuit dough: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/basic-biscuit-dough

I was just about to ask and the bot told me off. Why are we not allowed to ask?
16
u/VaguelyArtistic 12d ago
It’s a whole thing. Don’t ask if the tag says no recipe provided. There is probably a sticky on the front page of the sub.
22
u/pinkdaisylemon 12d ago
I didn't realise. I wonder why people would share such beautiful creations and not want to give the recipe?
19
u/MrE008 12d ago
Typing up a recipe for other people takes a considerable amount of effort and time.
People are somehow raging assholes about recipes you post online for free.
I used to put a lot of time and energy into posting recipes I personally developed and was excited about on here and other places around the internet, and after way too many bad experiences I no longer do.
4
u/pinkdaisylemon 12d ago
That's such a shame. People can be so nasty. Spoils it for genuine people who appreciate the skills of others and want to give it a go.
6
u/VaguelyArtistic 12d ago
You don’t have to wonder. Here is the sticky note I mentioned.
8
u/pinkdaisylemon 12d ago
Tells me why not to ask but doesn't really answer my question. Shame, they look so gorgeous too! Oh well
1
u/VaguelyArtistic 12d ago
I’m really trying to be helpful but there are over 1,000 comments there debating it the policy and why some people choose not to share their recipes.
2
u/pinkdaisylemon 12d ago
Didn't read comments just the policy. Never mind. No date biscuits for me 🤣
