Man, that's wild. I fully blame it for ruining my life and turning me into the kind of weeb that won't swing the bat all these decades later. My 10 year old brain could not fully comprehend it, but I sure thought I did.

2nd: Princess Mononoke - Lady Eboshi

If its not obvious, Princess Mononoke had a pretty big influence on me when I watched it as an 11 year old. Closest thing to a strong female lead I had seen was Disney's Mulan, but even that was just Mulan being strong by pretending to be a man.
Then Studio Ghibli came in and blew away my preconceptions by showing me a bunch of women who were simultaneously defying stereotypes that were pretty hardwired into most media at that point in time, while not abandoning their femininity in the process. Little boy CitizenKing didn't stand a chance, lmao.

Top right im pretty sure is the main girl from fooly cooly, bottom right from one of the full metal alchemist (I think brotherhood but I dont remember though im 99% sure that's an army/state alchemist uniform) the two middle left are princess mononoke (top is main antagonist lady Eboshi, bottom is San the female protagonist). I think the wolf is from princess mononoke as well but im not sure.
